SPANISH IN CADIZ
CLARE’S STAY IN CADIZ APRIL 2016
Clare, from our office, spent a week in Cadiz in April 2016 improving her rusty Spanish and can highly recommend the school she attended there. Accredited by the Isituto Cervantes, K2 Internacional is housed in a beautifully restored nineteenth century building in Plaza del Mentidero, one of the most famous squares in the city. Surrounded by typical local tapas, bars and cafes, the school is perfectly located and is only a 5 minute walk from Cadiz’s wonderful, award winning beaches.
Clare opted for accommodation with a local family and stayed with a charming couple, Blanca and Antonio, whose appartment was literally round the corner from the school. Although it can be hard work speaking a foreign language every day for a week, “full immersion” is undoubtedly the most effective way to improve your language skills and Clare’s level progressed from A2 to B1 in the week that she was there.
Lessons took place every morning and the teachers, all native Spanish speakers, were excellent. Groups were small, a maximum of 6, and the lessons were lively and interactive. Homework was set on a daily basis and there were computers available for the students’ use throughout the school.
